I wanted to draw out my new LBSU campus or try to create a virtual image using Photoshop but all my versions came out bad or it just didn’t look right to me; so I’ve decided to design my new campus with text descriptions.

The biggest change I would make to the LBSU campus would be to add in an underground subway or above ground trains like the metro ones in Los Angeles. There are many students, professors, and other faculty who need to get onto campus. In order to create a more efficient and globally-conscious way for all these people to travel to school, there would be many routes coming in and out the surrounding cities. This would eliminate the amounts of gas emissions produced and would allow us to free up parking spaces for other uses. I would also add bicycles and scooters around campus that anyone can access and use with their student/employee id.

I really like the recycling center on campus and I would want to create more ways on campus where everyone can help eliminate their own waste. I would get rid of single use plastics and install sinks into the food court so that people can bring and wash their own plates/utensils. I would also like to help students by creating community gardens around campus. These can be on the roofs of departments and everyone can contribute and use products from it. If anyone needs a quick snack like an apple or a peach, students can save money and pick one from the gardens.

I would also like to make our campus more Covid friendly by adding in more hand sanitizer stations, adding clorox wipes around study spaces so students can wipe down it down after they use it, and have free mask stations around campus. I would also change most doors to motion sensor doors to lessen the amount of multiple people touching the same places.

In order to create a more resourceful campus for this generation of technologically advanced students, I would add more computer labs around campus. Each building would get its own computer lab if it doesn’t already have one. Along with these labs, there would be free workshops in them so that students can learn more online programs like Excel, Photoshop, Indesign and others. This would be beneficial because many majors require some knowledge in these programs others can learn just for fun.
